Bt+ services collect personal data in the process of operation, including, but not limited to, names, email addresses, usernames, password hashes, member communications, and approximate location data. This is done for the purpose of providing service functionality, preventing abuse of the services, and fostering a safe and constructive community environment.
All such information which is not submitted in publicly visible channels will be treated as confidential except where explicit consent to release of data is otherwise given, and not transmitted to any third party under any circumstances except when strictly necessary by law.
Members and former members may contact membership@beyondtheplus.org to request deletion of their personal data. Bt+ will review the request, and if retention of the data is not determined to be necessary for legal or moderation reasons, will delete applicable personal data as staff resources permit.
Due to legal compliance considerations of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), all users of Bt+ services must be of the legal age of 13 or older in order to accept this agreement and use the services.
